Office Engineer - Civil
Description
We are seeking an experienced Office Engineer for our civil contracting client, which runs projects across Cape Cod and southeastern Massachusetts.
For more than 50 years, they have built the infrastructure that defines their community - asphalt paving, site development, underground utilities, subdivision construction, and airport work. With a skilled crew and a large fleet, they have completed over 8,000 projects.

The Role
This is a hands-on role supporting the Project Management and Field Operations teams.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- You're the person who turns engineer drawings into working documents that the team can use.
- That means building CAD files, surface models, and DXF files that drive GPS-controlled construction equipment.
- You'll run earthwork take-offs and material quantities for estimators and PMs bidding new work.
- You'll coordinate with design firms to get the files you need, review what comes in for accuracy, and support survey field crews with data uploads and downloads.
- When there's a design task that needs handling, you take care of it. You're not just pushing drawings - you're keeping the technical side of projects moving.
What We Are Looking For
You're technically strong and detail-oriented, and you know how to manage competing priorities without losing your mind. You communicate clearly, work well with field crews and engineers alike, and you take quality seriously. You're looking for a role to show off your talents.
- You've got at least 2 - 3 years of AutoCAD experience on civil work.
- A solid understanding of infrastructure projects: paving, grading, drainage, utilities, water, and sewer is ideal.
- You can read consultant drawings without hand-holding.
- An associate's degree in drafting or engineering technology, or equivalent experience in CAD, estimating, or field operations, is the baseline.
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is highly desirable.
- If you've used Bid2Win or AGTEK Earthworks, that's a bonus.
What They offer
Competitive salary $ 75,000 - $ 85,000 based on experience.
Medical, life insurance, and pension are 100% employer-paid.
