Description
Good schedules help project teams make better decisions. Our client is looking for someone who understands construction, enjoys working with project teams, and can turn project information into clear, workable schedules.
Your background could be with a general contractor, an engineering or construction consulting firm, or a project controls team. You may already be a Scheduler, or you may be a Project Engineer or Project Manager who has taken on scheduling responsibilities and wants to build on that experience.
What You’ll Actually Do
Help develop, maintain, and analyze construction schedules across multiple projects. Work with office and field teams to understand progress, identify risks, and keep schedules connected to how the work is actually being built.
Advanced Schedule Management

Develop and update critical path schedules, incorporating input from project teams.

Review schedule logic, sequencing, milestones, and progress.

Support cost and resource loading, forecasting, and schedule analysis.

Evaluate the effects of changes and delays, and help teams develop recovery plans.

Prepare clear schedule reports that support project decisions.
Strategic Problem Solving

Work with scheduling leadership and project teams to improve planning and reporting.

Gather updates from project managers, field teams, and other contributors.

Identify potential scheduling problems and recommend practical adjustments.

Help project teams use scheduling tools effectively.

Visit regional jobsites as needed for progress reviews and scheduling support.
Ideal Candidate

Experience: Three or more years in construction scheduling, project controls, project management, project engineering, or a related role.

Background: We welcome experience with general contractors, specialty contractors, AEC firms, and construction or scheduling consultants.

Technical Expertise: Primavera P6 experience is highly desirable. We will also consider candidates with strong construction scheduling experience using other tools.

Construction Knowledge: An understanding of project sequencing, critical path scheduling, and how field activities affect the overall plan.

Education: A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.

Communication: Comfortable gathering information, asking questions, and explaining schedule issues to different project teams.
